These apps are used by sales people more than any other role. ![]() Meeting transcription for SalesĪs you compare tools across the meeting transcription market, you’ll see a common theme. Here are the most common reasons that people record and transcribe calls. Reasons to transcribe a call or meeting vary fairly widely depending, especially based on what role you’re in at work. Best meeting transcription benefits and use cases There are, though, a handful of really good reasons to transcribe calls and video conferences that make a lot of sense. Otherwise you end up with way too much information-so much that it’s simply not useful. In fact, most of the time, instead of a transcript, you’re better off jotting down 10 bullet points from what happened in a meeting. Transcripts are clunky and often boring, and are only useful if you’re willing to skim past all the unnecessary information to find the meat. Meeting transcripts are somewhat similar, in that they don’t replace meeting notes across the board. Go find a book by John Grisham or Chris Pavone. I've seen people mention being sent cheques for around $10,000 from scammers, and then being asked to give back roughly $3,000 for car work costs. In terms of how much is going to be sent and asked for, this could vary wildly. This is the biggest glaring flaw of the entire enterprise: why send you all of the money, instead of just paying you and the decal person separately? However, even looking past that initial disappointment, the overall combat just felt stale. Most of the time it seemed like campaign missions boiled down to chasing after enemies and slowly whittling them down, oftentimes taking far too long to do so even at max game speed. I would even call the trailers deceptive in that regard. In multiplayer, custom fleets do allow more ships to be added, but even then, it just feels underwhelming. Just about every trailer I saw for the game depicted these epic space battles with tons of ships out on the field, but when actually playing, most of the time you are just stuck with maybe five or so ships, especially in the campaign. Part of this disappointment stems from the game’s marketing. If anything, I found the combat to be too slow and rather lackluster overall. Now unfortunately, the level of depth to the game’s strategy could not save it from mediocrity. It was a nice way to cater to both crowds. If the player wants to micro-manage, then they can, but if they don’t, then these features serve as a nice way to make the game less micro-heavy. On top of that, the player can even toggle “auto-engagement”, which basically directs ships to automatically chase down and target enemy vessels. For example, the tutorial teaches the player how to target specific parts on an enemy ship, but also stresses that this is not necessary and that one can just as easily target the ship as a whole. Not only does the game allow the player full control of its combat, but it also makes the experience customizable. I also quite enjoyed the game’s level of depth when it came to its strategy elements. It was all pretty nicely polished in terms of optimization. Outside of that, there were no frame drops, no stuttering issues, and I didn’t run into any lag in the multiplayer mode. I played several hours on day 1 of release and ran into only one technical issue, that being textures popping in and out at times. With the new trend these days being releasing games in a half-finished state, I was quite impressed with the level of polish here in Armada 2. Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 is out today on Steam. However, as usual I am going to start with what I did like about the game, the first being its top-notch polish. Thanks to the incredible support for the game already received from the community, Focus Home Interactive and Tindalos have also begun development on a fourth grand campaign. Honda’s combos can get rather ludicrous giving him a wonderful progression curve. His combo game is incredibly simple often only comprising of 3-or-so inputs, making him ideal for picking up and playing. Honda wants to push people into a corner and then never let them leave. Honda is one of our favourite characters. She loses too much with Modern, however, so we’d recommend avoiding that control method entirely.Į. Marisa is excellent with Classic controls due to her simple inputs. Short, punchy combos are the name of the game here. Throw in buckets of armour, a parry-stance, and a command grab, and Marissa is the complete bruiser package. Her Specials are also very easy to input, with most of them just being quarter-circle motions. Even without combos, Marisa will chunk her opponents for daring to interrupt her. Marisa is all about pressure, and her amazing neutral game lets her apply that from a distance. Her reach, power, and sheer size are second to only Zangief, and even then, it’s debatable. Marisa is all about hitting people very hard with powerful punches and kicks. Lily, like Ryu, is great with both Modern and Classic controls. Lily loves being in people’s faces, and she can apply quite a lot of pressure once she’s there. Her whole shtick is mixing people up with powerful gap closers and aggressive combos and command grabs. If Ryu is balance, then Lily is all about aggression. When it comes to Modern or Classic controls, Ryu works wonderfully with both. According to a 1956 newspaper report, the game was revived in 1944 by Edric Connor. In its adaptation to the world of entertainment, troupes began reversing the traditional order. Traditionally, the limbo game began at the lowest possible bar height and the bar was gradually raised, signifying an emergence from death into life. Limbo played as a children's game in a Virginia school. The limbo spoke directly of the limited space in the slaving ships and the African ability to escape it." Popularization One such game was the limbo in the Caribbean. This was to continue in the Americas in games, religious ceremonies and other musical forms that used cultural traditions from Africa. Many took advantage of this to bond and communicate with their shipmates by dancing steps remembered from their past in Africa. ĭr Alan Rice elaborates on the supposed link the game has with the slave trade: "Africans were forced to game on deck for exercise. An alternative explanation of the name is suggested that the version of the limbo performed in nineteenth century Trinidad was meant to symbolize slaves entering the galleys of a slave ship, or a spirit crossing over into the afterworld, or "limbo", but no literary reference is known to substantiate this postulated linkage. ![]() It achieved mainstream popularity during the 1950s. The limbo dates back to the mid to late 1800s in Trinidad. Ĭonsistent with certain African beliefs, the game reflects the whole cycle of life. The players move under a pole that is gradually lowered from chest level and they emerge on the other side as their heads clear the pole as in the triumph of life over death. This game is also used as a funeral game and may be related to the African legba or legua game. Merriam–Webster lists the etymology as "English of Trinidad & Barbados akin to Jamaican English limba to bend, from English limber". ![]() It is conjectured that limbo is a West Indian English derivative of 'limber'. The word 'limbo' dates back to the 1950s. The contest ends when only one person can pass under the bar. After everyone has passed under the bar in this manner, the bar is lowered slightly and the contest continues. Whoever knocks the bar off or falls is eliminated. They must not turn their head or neck to the side. No part of their body is allowed to touch the bar, and no part other than their feet may touch the ground. When passing under the bar, players must bend backwards. All contestants must attempt to go under the bar with their backs facing toward the floor. It was popularized in the 1950s by dance pioneer Julia Edwards (known as the First Lady of Limbo) and her company which appeared in several films, in particular Fire Down Below (1957), and toured widely in the Caribbean, Europe, North America, South America, Asia, and Africa in the 1960s and later.Ī horizontal bar, known as the limbo bar, is supported by two vertical bars. The dance originated as an event that took place at wakes in Trinidad. The aim is to pass forwards under a low bar without falling or dislodging the bar.
