The rest of the company’s assets were auctioned off on May 12. The assets include four rocket engines and other components built for Virgin Orbit’s LauncherOne rocket. You can see the rocket launch 30-60 seconds after it takes off. Firefly Aerospace has agreed to purchase the remaining assets of bankrupt Virgin Orbit for 3.8 million. If the weather interrupts and cancels the launch itself (possible), there are several more launch windows running through May 16th. Upcoming launches and landings of crew members to and from the International Space Station, and launches of rockets delivering spacecraft that observe the Earth, visit other planets and explore the universe. If you are hoping to catch a glimpse of the rocket on Friday evening, it should be visible to our southeast between 30-60 seconds after launch (assuming the launch goes off on time at 7:58 p.m). and Bermuda may be able to see the rocket on. If skies are clear, the launch should be visible to folks up and down the eastern seaboard.
